Malta has demonstrated generosity several times over the years. However, not everyone shares this sentiment. Gays have been granted the right to marry. So be it! If that brings them happiness, even as a minority, that's what democracy is about. Democracy allows people to decide for themselves.

Yet, some among us attempt to undermine what we've cultivated as a community. From X Factor to London, Matthew Grech, the EX-GAY, wants to emphasize his status as an EX-GAY. Perhaps he aims to revive the notion that being gay is an ailment? That it's acceptable to send children exhibiting such tendencies to specialized treatment camps? We've made significant progress; the majority of us accept everyone, so why regress?

Mr. Grech, I'd like to understand: Is this truly God's intention? Aren't we all God's children? Why leverage your social status to propagate such a misguided message? Numerous teenagers are awaiting the right moment to come out to their families. Consider the impact of your propaganda on their parents, suggesting that being gay is something to be cured. Firstly, it's an inherent aspect of one's identity. Secondly, might these vulnerable teens be forced into camps that claim to 'treat' them?

Perhaps your personal experiences, combined with insights from your sessions with 'The River of Love,' led you to this perspective. Nonetheless, it remains your experience. Allow others the freedom to make their choices without influencing them with such a film and declarations.

Such misconceptions are pushing the younger generation (myself included) further from the Catholic faith. Is this truly God's desire? From what I understand, God created each of us uniquely, flawed yet beloved. Above all, He instructed us to love one another as He loves us.

Lastly, Mr. Grech, love transcends race, gender, color, and boundaries! God designed us all as part of His grand plan. Though imperfect, we fit perfectly within it. We sin, but He forgives—do you not see?
